Power electronics and power semiconductors are fundamental technologies for all power conversion and electrification, from motor drives and server power supplies to high-voltage and low-voltage power transmission and distribution systems. As the use of these technologies expands into mission-critical and harsh applications, and more efficient power semiconductors emerge, there is an increasing need for efficient cooling methods, measures against characteristic variations and noise, fast protection, reliability monitoring, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) technologies and solutions.

It is also becoming increasingly important to incorporate these perspectives from the component selection and system development stages to reduce the burden on designers and operators, making the use of model-based design (MBD) and AI indispensable. One of the major goals is to respond to the needs of internal and external users with integrated solutions.
