Toshiba Wins Stevie® Awards for Event and Web Design Excellence

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions’ NRF (National Retail Federation) 2024 exhibition booth and company web design were named winners in the 22nd Annual American Business Awards®. The NRF 2024 exhibition booth won the Gold Stevie® Award in the Brand & Experiences – Exhibition Experience category, and the retail solutions provider’s website earned the Silver Stevie® Award in the Achievement in Web Design category.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for our strategic marketing efforts aimed at helping retailers solve their most pressing challenges,” says Fredrik Carlegren, VP and Head of Marketing & Communications at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. “Our commitment to a customer-centric approach has enabled us to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the shopping experience and is apparent through forward-facing initiatives like our events and website. NRF Big Show is the largest retail-focused exhibition in the U.S., where we showcase our cutting-edge technology and build trust with our stakeholders. Our website is also a key platform for communicating our value proposition and engaging stakeholders. We are proud to have these essential touchpoints recognized for their excellence.”

At NRF 2024, lifestyle imagery and storytelling welcomed guests and showcased solutions addressing retail’s most significant challenges, such as shrink and labor distribution. In collaboration with longstanding marketing partner Exhibitus, Toshiba’s booth hosted an attention-grabbing frictionless shopping experience, demonstrating how retailers can integrate Toshiba’s modular technologies to create seamless and enhanced shopping journeys. Using facial recognition, A.I., computer vision, and the ELERA® Commerce Platform, shoppers could enter, browse, select items, pay, and exit the store effortlessly. Additionally, the technology facilitated dynamic pricing, live shelf mapping, inventory management, and customer and item linking.

“As an experiential marketing agency, Exhibitus’ goal is to elevate brands by creating experiences that build meaningful relationships. We celebrate Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions’ well-deserved recognition and are proud to have been a part of their award-winning journey for over a decade, from trade shows to branded interiors to digital environments and interactive engagements,” said Brad Falberg, President of Exhibitus. “We congratulate the entire Toshiba team and look forward to their continued success.”

The website renewal was part of a new brand story renovation project that included significant updates to the company’s digital web presence. The project involved extensive research and collaboration between Atlantic BT and Toshiba, aimed at understanding stakeholder needs and expectations for the website, like user experience and a mobile-ready model.

“The success of the website redesign can be attributed to the outstanding collaboration between Atlantic BT and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions and a strong commitment to user-centric design, which prioritizes users’ needs alongside business goals. We’re proud to partner with an exceptional company like Toshiba,” says Rachel McKay, UX Designer at Atlantic BT. The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, forprofit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 11. More than 300 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
